Just 30 calories per day of chocolate may be enough to help reduce your blood pressure. As far as serving sizes go, that’s about a Hershey’s Kiss worth.--from "Give Your Blood Pressure This Daily Treat" at REAL AGE site
But you have to eat the right kind of chocolate, according to Joseph Maroon, MD, author of The Longevity Factor. He recommends nonsweetened or minimally sweetened dark chocolate that’s at least 70 percent cocoa.

Japanese people do eat a lot of bread, but it's all thick cut (like, imagine 3 thick cut slices of bread from an average loaf and that's the thickness), for the most part it's all white (sometimes you can get it with nuts), and it's usually quite sweet. Some of the 'snack' breads you see at convenience stores here are nuts. Chocolate sandwiches, sugar or cream bread, massive blocks of pastry like bread with icing that come up to about 650 calories each. Anything other than a basic white is hard to find, especially if you're looking for savory.
I wonder if the combination of chocolate and wine is even better? ;)
I love dark chocolate with almonds or walnuts. So yummy and healthy (in moderation).
Hope you're doing well!
